F'ing Sucios

Once again we were handily stomped upon by these firkers. It's tough to beat a team that has Beito as a C+ & Carlos as B+. But we gave it a shot. We did win the toss & Lap played Beito, shot well & lost. That stuff happens. Meanwhile Slipper was playing Ed Rodriguez & 30 mins into the match, I realised he was playing on the same table he disliked so much the previous week. Good planning skipper. And then he lost. Down 0-2. Woopee.

Liz got Nelson & won with a headache which we left her trying to cure by drinking her way through it at the bar. BTR was unfortunate enough to get Beito who was doubling up & pretty shabby playing on Skipper's part together with solid play from Beito took the score to 6-2 Beito. Then something strange happened. With the overall match having been decided already, Beito missed a makeable 9 to win the match. Then he missed another shot. His game seemed to drop 3 levels & one's mind wandered with thoughts of:

or:

RDP got so p'd off that after another dodgey 9 ball miss he just pushed the 9 ball over the pocket & shook Beito's hand before he had a chance to somehow screw that shot up too. Beito later apologised, saying he'd taken a phone call that messed him up & he couldn't get his head back in the game. I like the guy so & I believe him. Maybe that makes me a putz. No comments please Weasly.

'Twas a tough night on the baize.....
